Coconut milk, long beans, bamboo shoots and sweet basil.
Thai Cuisine · Tolbodgade 7, Copenhagen
Coconut curries simmered with fresh herbs, wok dishes made to order, and Isan chicken wings that regulars order every time.
Charm is a small Thai restaurant between Nyhavn and Kastellet. The kitchen cooks the dishes you would find at a good neighbourhood place in Bangkok: red, green, panang and massaman curries, pad thai, basil stir-fries and a Tom Kha Gai made in-house.
The room is simple and warm, with dark tables, handmade ceramic bowls and soft light in the evening. Come for a quick lunch or a long dinner.
From the kitchen
Four dishes that show what Charm does best. Every curry is served with jasmine rice.

Coconut milk, long beans, bamboo shoots and sweet basil.

Marinated Thai-Isan chicken wings, deep-fried, with sweet chili.

A thicker, richer curry with chicken or beef and kaffir lime.

Pineapple, peppers, cucumber and tomato in a bright sweet-sour sauce.

Our room
Charm has only a handful of tables, so evenings feel like dinner at a friend's place. The bowls are heavy stoneware, the light is low, and the kitchen is close enough that you can hear the wok.
Guests mention the Tom Yum, the Thai Basil Beef and the passion fruit drink again and again. Come hungry: the portions are generous.
Fresh herbs. Slow curries. Made to order.
